How I left a pink collar job to chase my dreams

As I turned in my resignation letter to the manager Mr Frank, he looked at me sternly and didn’t expect it as he thought I really loved the job.

This was in 2017, I worked as a bakery as a baker to raise money to support my ailing grandmother. I was a really good baker, infact, everyone was in love with my baking skills.

I liked my colleagues, including the manager, He was a very nice man but I didn’t have passion for baking. I had passion in coding and programming.

My goal was to raise enough for money to fund my grandmother’s hospital bills and my coding education. Fast forward to resignation, I had finally gotten enough money for my grandmother and my coding journey.

The manager begged me to stay, as I was his favorite employee…. I considered his plea but I ultimately decided to leave.

Ladies and gentlemen,

As I look back as that moment, I now have 7 years of coding/programming experience and I work for remotely for a tech school based in America. I earn at least 14K$ every month and I have taught over 200+ students.

Unfortunately, my grandmother died late 2021, I was sad as she would have been very proud of where I have gotten to now.
